Aisha Crescent
Excitably plucky Sky Pirate Captain, stricken by amnesia and harbouring a secret 'friend'
Personal Dossier:
Name/Nicknames: Aisha Crescent, Aisha of the Crescent Moon, Aisha the Undying (self-given), Luck Dragon (self-given/proven), Mikazuki (private contractor alias)
Age: Appears Late-20s (Not even she is entirely sure)
Race: Au Ra -- Xaela
Tribe: Unknown (still rediscovering herself)
Height: Unusually tall for a female Au Ra, nearly as tall as a shorter male at 6'0 (in-character)
Eyes: Highly expressive amethyst and emerald heterochromatic irises with bright amber limbals
Hair: Lilac purple, normally kept short or tied back for form and function
Occupation: Sky Pirate Captain, Privateer, Smuggler, Private Contractor, Culinarian, and Secretly-Aspiring Writer
Vessels Captained: The Last Hades (medium-class strike craft, her home airship, built by El'chi Ura), The Moby (Lunar Whale-class small transport/mobile-apartment airship, commissioned from Garlond Ironworks)
Operating Locations: Primarily operates out of Limsa Lominsa, Shirogane, and (only with her mercenary company, she has difficulty breaking into the Ul'dah underbelly) The Goblet, but her freespirited nature as a Sky Pirate leads her to be active wherever the wind takes her.
Job Classes: Gunbreaker/Machinist
Alignment: Neutral Good (Chaotic Neutral as Shuten)
Aether Attunement: Water (Primary), Void Lightning (Secondary/Shuten-douji), and smidgeons of an odd third type lacing itself within(Tertiary)
Personality: Plucky, cheerful, charismatic, and deceptively intellectual, Aisha is honest to a fault and wears her heart on her sleeve. While she tries to put on a bold, boisterous face, her true emotions show in her expressive colorful eyes. She is really quite sensitive and kind (and bashful in certain situations), but never quick to anger unless one brings harm to those she cares about. Always aiming to please others, Aisha often forgets to take better care of her own needs. She's also very prone to zany, outlandish schemes that often backfire on her, but on occasion end up in the best of ways! Finally, she has a bit of a 'princely' streak about her with some individuals, something that was originally not her intention!
Quirks: Quite swift and unusually physically strong for her muscle mass, with a near-bottomless well of stamina. Has the uncanny ability to not die/survive things that would kill many (Aisha the Undying). Extremely high luck stat. Her voidsent infusion might account for some of these quirks, but definitely accounts for her body's transformations: gaining extra horns and claws among other physical manipulations of her body. Has amnesia. Cannot manipulate aether unless for body or a very limited handful of weapon infusions, due to the increasingly chaotic nature of hers, so those experiences are relatively limited. Decently wealthy due to the ceruleum and Magitek trade, alongside her delving into Allagan ruins and generally good fortune with treasure hunting, though Aisha tends to also go through funds quickly sometimes (read: when she isn't constantly replenishing those funds with new business contracts) with small philanthropic ventures, upgrades to her ships and arsenal, maintenance & resupply costs, foodstuffs & alcohol, and shiny new toys to collect or mess around with!
Likes: Freedom, Drinking, Helping those in Need, Limsa Lominsa, Airships, Guns, Blades, Gunblades, Magitek, Garlean Imperial Aesthetics, Dressing Sharply, Baking Sweets, Eastern Baths, Writing, Kindhearted People, Openness.
Dislikes: Control and Manipulation, Captivity, Excessive Negativity, Garlean Imperial Politics and Conquest, Overly Bitter Things, Gyr Abania (the region, too dusty and rocky), Closed Doors, Disingenuousness
Voice Similarities: Ouro Kronii - as Aisha, Shuten-douji - as Shuten-douji

Backstory
Awakening in a small homestead in the outskirts of Gridania with no memory of who she was, how she came to be there, or even how old she is (she has a rough idea), Aisha was raised by a couple a bit younger than her who claimed she'd been there for a few months, found in the wilds near the inlet in a feral state with one of her ear horns cracked but in a slow state of healing. She had been re-civilized by the couple and taught language, etiquette, and combat (which somehow, she already had a strong penchant for). Though she had grown close to the couple and her adoptive siblings, something inside her drew her westward and away from the forests, running away to the nation of Limsa Lominsa.
Upon reaching the city proper, Aisha found herself enamoured with its culture of freedom and liberty, but even moreso by the pirate culture that was rooted in its very core! It didn't take her long to fall in with some irreputable types, but her bright, good nature always carried her through. Eventually she joined up with a group of sky pirates operating in the Coerthan regions and made a name for herself as Aisha 'Crescent' (or 'Aisha of the Crescent Moon'), taking on commissions to run the Dravanian blockade under the moonlight and deliver essential supplies and information to Ishgard. She became highly skilled at manacutter piloting, making the run in 12 parmalms once and without so much as a scratch to her paintjob on several occasions.
Eventually Aisha found and formed her first pirate crew and in her inexperience let her heart lead her decisions for a while. She found work with the newly formed HighMettle mercenary company, establishing herself as a competent fighter within its ranks and defeating its far-stronger leader Argas Ura in a display of sound tactical prowess (and a hail of bullets) during group training sessions (and finding him first in a widescale game of hide-n'-seek for gil in Southern Thanalan's deserts). In the same vein, she also became a primary supplier for both Garlean and Lost Allagan technologies to El'chi Ura in Azys Lla and to Garlond Ironworks in Mor Dhona, building on her personal experiences with Magitek and piracy as an aside to her duties to the company while also gaining her first airship The Moby from the Garlond commission. Her first crew parted ways however, and for a time Aisha was lost to her own designs, seeking even the seediest private contracts under the alias Mikazuki, the Hingan term for 'Crescent Moon', becoming a different person altogether through the professional persona, good at what she did and yet at the same time losing what made her her.
With great loss however came much to be found. By sheer chance and her own crazy level of fortune, she had found her most valued treasures -- wonderful friends and even her younger blood-related sisters all gathered right where she least expected them. Fate could be cruel, but fate could also be very kind, and Aisha soon forged a new crew. Soon she had also received her state-of-the-art airship-- The Last Hades -- built and designed for her use, upgradeable for its crew's needs, and yet at the same time tethered to its creator and his facilities to keep her reined in from enacting her more volatile design mindset (he knew her too well it would seem), something which she accepted wholeheartedly, for El'chi had given her the wings to truly soar and realize her dreams.

The Voidsent:
Upon exploring the derelict Void Ark and (more specifically) finding an abandoned, mostly trashed Falcon by a blown open segment of hull, certain memories began to cascade in chunks, unveiling events leading to her own amnesia.
Originally, the Xaela woman (she doesn't recall her life before this point) had been a silvery-haired sky pirate out to plunder the Void Ark of Mhachi artifacts, her Falcon shot down by a concentrated bolt of aether. Coming in for a crash landing on the Ark itself, Aisha wandered through its then-slumbering halls, eventually falling into an antechamber sealed off from the main generators. Within this chamber was a massive tube situated in its center, the murky visage of a pleasantly grinning voidsent swirling within, its soft, sweet voice calming to the senses.
"Ahhh, a visitor... and I was just looking for someone to share this drink with."
She spoke to the young pirate, luring her over to the base of the tube. The demon explained that her essence had been so rudely captured by the Lord of the Void himself, Diabolos, along with her 'rather distant sister' and used to syphon her unique energies to power his ascent to dominion and destruction. Seeing that the young pirate was also trapped within the chamber, the demon, naming herself 'Shuten', made the pirate a surprisingly truthful offer.
"Come, share this drink with me and together we shall be as one, and free of this place. But be warned, for this drink will consume your very being should your spirit not provide the proper oppositional 'light' to be made whole!"
And so begun the deadly drinking game, the young Xaela woman seating herself across from the demon as if treating with an old comrade, her mind a haze as she imbibed more and more. Eventually, the demoness stopped her from taking another sip, claiming that enough had been transferred over to take root. As she said that, chaotic void energies from the union began to spiral out from the pirate girl, blasting another hole in the hull and sending her helpless form flying out into the clouds in a freefall, spiraling down and down, her last memories were of many trees in the horizon and a wall of water quickly rising up to meet her...
Shuten's Lore
Book 1 - The Tale of Susano and the Yamata-no-Orochi (Uncovered in a book found in a personal study)
Long ago in a barren expanse of sea now known as the Ruby Sea, lived a massive, terrible creature known as the eight-headed Yamata-no-Orochi. Every year in a bid to protect their lands from being consumed, the ancient Domans sacrificed a noble daughter from their kingdom to the monster until eventually they had been required to give it their princess herself. The ancient Domans secretly pleaded with the god of storms, Susano, for assistance, who in turn came up with a scheme to debilitate the monster with poisoned sake.
When the plan was pulled off, the sake did not kill the creature, but weakened it just enough for Susano to take it on personally and the battle between the two giants ensued, shaking the seas for many days as the god lobbed off the creature's heads one after the other, sending seven of them into the sea while one in particular crashed into northern Doma. The electrified remains of the Yamata-no-Orochi crackled, becoming the islands of the Ruby Sea, blooming with life in the aftermath, while in northern Doma a new being was born at the peak of the head that became 'Mount Oe'-- the oni known as Shuten-douji.
"Ahhh... Susano... 'father'..." A hushed, bemused voice speaks. "And but one example of the trickery of gods and their 'holy' servants..."

Family & Friends:
(Under Construction)
RP Hooks:
-Anything involving piracy, adventure, and plundering Garlean supply lines!
-Schmoozing in taverns, one spies a rather boisterous Xaela woman raising up a stir!
-On the run from a lawbringer or bounty hunter, one might find that she's not the evildoer she's been labeled as. Perhaps she could also be a bounty hunter on a mission!
-Catching wind of her Voidsent, Aisha might find herself being hunted by a Temple Knight, Void Hunter, or even a mage seeking to utilize her abilities to their own ends!
-Far Eastern staples such as onsens, ramen shops, sitting areas for tea & sake, and Xaela tribal customs pique Aisha's interests greatly. She's fairly new to these cultures despite likely being born in the Azim Steppe, and is currently repatriating!
